*Where do you get YOUR energy from?*

I am too, and I do what you do, except Ginseng tea in the a.m., but my quetsion is how to you adjust your internal lock to cope with getting up early on Mondays? I can't handle it and then I drag until Wednesday. Any tips????

Not one, E. Without fail, I never sleep well on Sunday nights. That usually makes Monday not so great of a day. I usually don't interrupt my going to bed time too much on just a weekend, but I most definitely sleep later than 5 am. The longer I am off, the more I revert to staying up later and later.

I also like flavored tea, once in awhile, with breakfast- which is only once-in-awhile! Never really have time for breakfast, and I'm never really too hungry in the morning either.

I wish I had more energy. I drink coffee about every other day. One cup with lots of sugar and real milk (whole, not 2% or creamer junk... real milk tastes the best). I actually double the volume of my drink with milk. That way, it tastes like the mochas or vanilla coffee drinks in the shops. they don't start with a large amount of coffee. So I do either 4 or 8 ounce of coffee (i have one of those pod coffee makers), pour the sugar in, swirl it around so the sugar is dissolved, then add the milk, roughly 4 or 8 ounces of it, depending on what amount of coffee I made that morning. I also (since I'm an incurable insomniac, not due to coffee though) do not drink coffee after 12 noon.

I had a boss who drank regular coffee all day every day... sick puppy he was. Of course, he was also quite dinged in the head. Fired me because I wasn't showing enough passion for books. Yeah, bite me. Just because I can't tell you the owner history of a 18th century calfskin bound tome in 5 seconds flat, doesn't make me a non-lover of books. Oops... sorry... I'm still a little bitter about being fired and still being unemployed. Heh heh. If anyone can help me 'get in' to employment at Borders or Barnes and Noble, I'll be indebted to you... I'll make you cookies and cat toys. I can bake AND sew... muaahaahaa!!!

That is exactly what happens to me. Well, if you find some majic elixir - beyond ginseng - let me know!

Well...I've taken to drink lots of tea and water (no black tea unless I have to be awake before, say, 8) and try to eat more fruit/veggies to keep my energy level up....then there'S the occasional candy binge*g* and lots of sleep which i usually don't get
since I won'T fall asleep before 2-3 am and have to get up by 8.30

My recent energy booster has been a trip to the doctor who found out that my summer low was due to an inflamed thyroid and all my relatively high iodine intake had been useless...now I get pills and that helps immensely!

I hear ya on the candy thing....

I voted coffee, although first thing in the morning I have my green tea, then comes the coffee!
I have to say though a lot of my energy I get comes from Sash, when I see that beautiful boy every morning looking so vibrant and lovely I'm so ready to start my day and I get an incredible burst of energy from the joy that boy brings me and I feel like conquering the world!

I know, my cats bring me energy too somehow!

Thank God I changed GPs, the first one just prescribed me some acid blockers and didn't find a thing!!!!

2 to 3 big, strong, deathly dark cups of coffee per day with Splenda & some type of creamer.

I am a non-functioning human until I get coffee. I feel murderous & vengeful til I get my coffee. Without coffee, I would be so much less a woman!

I also get my energy from being a Type A personality! I'm one of those loud mouths who talk to everyone, gets out & gets noticed, starts projects, real intense & upbeat.
