I chose tea, myself because I'm a night owl, and other. I get so much exercise during the week that my energy levels are more often than not through the roof!

(Figured I'd put a Ryan choice in since the Poll Raider was inevitably going to anyways...

I think Deb made her point.
So I guess I do whatever it is I do.
I'm a night owl and sometimes if I'm tired and don't want to be, I'll have some cola. It doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference though. If I'm driving long hours it will put me to sleep at the wheel literally and I will stop for a strong cappucinno or coffee.

I didn't vote for coffee because it wasn't really a driving question. I rarely ever drink it since I don't have to drive hours on end anymore either.

I NEED more energy! DO vitamins help?
I try to exercise for at least half an hour every day. I take a pedometer to school and usually average between 7-9 miles a day. I have to get up at 5, leave at 6, and do not get home before 5:30 3 days a week since I teach in the After School program. HELP! I am falling asleep by 8 some days.

It's true!
When I do drink coffee it has to have cream and sugar in it, or it's just steaming brown water that's overly warm. Now does that sound gross or what?

Ok, sure I believe you. It's just, most people who ever have coffee have it all the time. But is doesn't even sound like you like coffee...? Do you just have it for energy while on the road?? Or...
Well I'm not even gonna try to understand you.

I find it interesting that you think I would be in denial about coffee.
I guess you must really feel attached to it. I only use coffee as a tool when I really can't hold onto being awake; a tool I haven't had to use for a long time. I'm definitely a night owl though. You picked the right time to start this thread.

I makeit a point to get 8 hours of sleep a night, but in the morning, I have my habitual cup of tea every morning. I only put a dot of honey in it and it's usually green or white tea, so I don't think I actually get more energy from it...it's just like the placebo effect or something.

I also am very active during the day (though I rarely have an organized, planned "workout") and I take a B-Complex vitamin, both of which are supposed to boost energy. Same with staying hydrated and eating whole grains.

Agrred. I switched yo Ginseng tea 3 years ago. I have it ready in the coffee maker while I wake up and feed the kitties. Since I quit caffeine, my skin is great and I have more energy to get through the day. Ginseng is amazing!

Coffee, normally. I feel sorry for whoever gets my blood when I donate. The poor bloke probably jumps right off the gurney!

At night it comes from myself. Sadly, I am as nocturnal as your average feral cat.

Well, i chose the Ryan choice just to be funny. Sorry Ryan, i dont really do what you do, as i can't drive yet.

Actually, on the rare weekday morning when i am too tired to do much, i drink a small glass of extremely chocolatey chocolate milk
, but of course it must be made from Hershey's powdered mix specifically.
Any other is inferior.

I will have coffee in the morning. Lots of cream and lots of sugar but I only drink two cups. I rarely drink soda and I am not a night-owl. I love my sleep!!
