i took in a stray in hopes of finding a playmate for my cat blue. unfortunately, this stray is attacking blue constantly. i have tried everything to get them to get along, but nothing is working. he also attacks me in an aggressive manner. does any one know who i can call or where i can go to find him a new home? thanks for your help.

you ready to give up already? How long were they separated initially? are they fighting or just bluffing with each other?

blue has been with us for 3 1/2 years. her brother zeke passed a year ago. the new cat has been in the house for 3 months. they have been fighting. he'll chase her and she'll screech, growl, and hiss until i come and break them up.

Are they both fixed? That will help calm everyone down. Then separate them and redo the introduction process. It is detailed in the behavior forum, in the stickys at the top.

I have a kitty named Blue, too! Welcome to TCS!

she is fixed. he is not. i have tried introducing other cats to my blues but she is just content with being by herself, i guess. caesar is just too aggressive and wild for me.

He needs to be neutered, that will help the situation.

Once he has been neutered, not overnight but soon, the aggressiveness will calm down.

feliway comfort zone room diffusers will help as well

Heidi...here is a list of low cost clinics that you could have caesar neutered at....I suspect having him neutered will help:

Oh I agree, not neutering makes some cats waaay more agressive then they would be otherwise. Please neuter him before you give up on him. That will calm him down considerably.
