lazy kitty?

a few weeks ago i noticed that my kitten has taken up the habit of idly lying around the house. it used to be that she'd get up and run around all over the place, especially when we engage in a game like tag- but i notice now that when i'm "it" she spontaneously rolls over onto her side and back with paws up and looks at me, instead of taking off as usual.

is this normal behavior? i'm away most of the week at college, and dad says he's noticed it too- that she likes to roll around and lie on the carpet lately.

When my cats stop running and roll on their backs, they want to wrestle. Running for cats means either they're chasing something or they're being chased. I don't think your kitten is being lazy. She just wants a new game.
