6 days old kitten: open eyes

hi guys, my cat gave birth to 3 kittens last fri. one of em got his eyes opened today, i know it should take around 10 days for the eyes to open. is this ok or it means some kind of trouble?

This is normal. It's just like most developmental milestones, there is a range of normal. I have had kittens' eyes open as early as 5 days or as late as 2 weeks and both were fine.

I agree, this is normal. In some breeds, kittens are even born with their eyes open.

Very normal! I have to admit though I was suprised the first time one of my kittens opened their eyes are four days old!

My rex kittens opened their eyes between 5-7 days. None had problems.

Hi - one of my kittens opened their eyes at 2 days, and the other 4 by 4 days - we were really worried at first but it seems to have had no ill effect - just make sure you keep them in low level light for the first week or so, and don't flash em with your camera! (tempting as it may be!)
