Hello from Minneapolis!

I actually don't have a cat yet. I found this site to use as a resource in making a decision about what cat would be right for me, and now I'm just narrowing down my options.

I'm working on my vet tech certification, and up until recently I've been more interested in working with dogs. However, I'm finding that cats can be every bit as affectionate and playful... and I'd like one to be my roommate!

I've been to a couple of other boards and it seems like you have to go through some kind of hazing period before anyone will communicate with you.

You'll know the cat that is right for you when you meet him/her. The first cat I got from the Humane Society... I asked one of the volunteers which one she liked, she pointed me to a black cat, got him out of the cage and handed him to me. He crawled up and put both arms totally around my neck and would not let go. I knew that moment he was the one for me.

Let us know ASAP when you get your kitty
