I just bought a few boxes of fresh step cedar. I used it to fill up the booda dome in the computer room. This seems to be the room with the biggest odor problem- we are usually pretty lucky with this. I think it is b/c we use this room the most, and one cat in particular likes to do his stinky business and not cover it! Normally I use fresh step regular or w/ added crystals, arm and hammer or tidy cats. It smells really nice and natural so far and doesn't seem to be as dusty as regular fresh step. Anyone tried it?

As far as I have always heard, cedar should never be used for animals. I know it is toxic to small animals (mice, rats, guinea pigs, etc), I always assumed it couldn't be good for cats either. Too bad it smells so nice and that is what attracts people to it. Too bad they still sell it even though it is not good.
