What Songs Do You Sing to Your Cat/Cats?

Pru is pretty shy yet, and I started singing to her, so she would get used to my voice. Hmmm, maybe that's why she's still shy.

I sing "Dear Prudence" to Pru, and change the words of "Louie, Louie" to Pruie, Pruie.
And of course "What's New Pussy Cat" (they love the Whoa, Whoa, Whoa belted out}
"The Name Game" is always a good one.

If I sang to my cats, Im sure they would turn feral.

I can't sing. However I do "baby-talk" to them like they are 3 year old children.

I don't sing to Ophelia because 1) she's not really my cat (she's Daddy's girl!), and 2) she's much too sophisticated to be sang to!

I do have a little song for Trent that I made up one morning. I can't tell if he likes it or not, but I do sing it to him during our "Mommy-Baby Time" almost every morning.

OMG....

Midnight gets "Midnight at the Oasis" and "Midnight Special". He mostly ignores this.

Sunshine gets "You are My Sunshine", "Sunshine Superman" and "Sunshine of Your Love". He loves being sung to.

Cole gets "Soul Man", only it's "Cole Man"

Khepera gets "Chim Chim Chirry" (from Mary Poppins) as "Kep Khepera, Kep Khepera, Kep Kep Kepi"

Phoenix gets "Venus" as "I'm your Phoenix" as well as "Felix the Cat": Phoenix the cat, the wonderful wonderful cat, whenever she gets in a fix, she reaches for some Meow Mix"

Buffy gets "Buffalo Soldier"

Nimue gets "Orinoco Flow" by Enya, I mispronounce her name as Nim-away for the song "Nim-away, nim-away, nim-away" instead of "sail away"

Star gets "Lucky Star" by Madonna

Oh, my cats love it when I songs to them! They roll around on the floor and purr, and my dogs like it too!
To Smudge, who's nickname is Mocker...I sing...(To the tune of Halleluia) "Mocka Mocker, eeeeats her crockers, Mocka Mocker, eats her crockers, and she likes them a lot!
My ex-husband's dad used to make up silly songs and that was one he made up for her.
To Cajun, I sing "Secret Cajun man!"
To Rain, I sing any song with the word Rain in it, when I'm annoyed with her I sing "Rain, Rain, go away."
And to all of them, I sing songs and switch the words to meows...

Um, don't tell anyone I said that!

Sometimes I sing in the shower and I might still be singing when I get out. I don't really sing around the house much. Poor Chasey. I don't sing for her or play her music! I must be a bad human!

I'll sing various songs whats on the radio, but it's usually " You are my sunshine " when i hold them

I can't give you an example because I am constantly making songs up for my cats and then I forget them as quick as I made them up lol. I sometimes think just how glad I am that my cats cant talk and tell anybody the stupid stuff I do...

Eponine gets her own version of Tiny Dancer, only I changed it to say "Blue jean kitty, LA kitty...hold me closer baby rat-head!". I also sing her the song "Oh" by Dave Matthews ("I love you oh so well"...)
Cosette gets "Little Red Corvette" only her version is "Little black Cosette....kitty you're much too fast!"

I've sung You Are My Sunshine, Baby Mine, and Let Me Call You Sweetheart to Sierra since she was a tiny baby! Now Serenity hears them, as well.
