The same thing happened to me.
My artist passed away, and I still haven't seen work that makes me really want to trust someone else. When you find "your" artist, it's like a marriage - 'til death do us part! That's why I don't have more.

You guys are so right about thinking about where and what. I had been thinking of my bites for a good 3 years before I got them done, and figured if I decided I hate them later I can have them changed into roses. But it's been well over 10 years now and I still love them. My leg tat may be symbolic of bands, but it's also just a cool tribal-like design. That one is almost 10 years old and I still love it too. And both are in places I can hide when I need to (most of the time), but I could show off when I wanted to. Well, when I had the figure to show off anything! LOL

ugh, I have a couple friends who are totally into extreme modifications, like tongue splitting and ear pointing and other really scary things.

I think they're really going to regret those decisions as time goes on. At least I can cover up my tattoos!

I have one.

One little cute fluffy mouse on my ankle. I went to the place with the intention of getting some sort of baby monkey. lol. But i fell in love with "nibbles" He holds a little cherry.


I lub him.

I have 1 on my lower back just above my left bum cheek! It is a Salamander Lizard and quite small really. I chose that area so that it can be hidden if I want it to be

I had my toungue pierced when (the day) I turned 18, and I had it done with an ex boyfriend of mine, his fell out that night because he got kind drunk, and was screwing around with it. But I left mine in, when I was pregnant at 20, I took it out, because it was gagging me all the time, but I put it back in after my daughter was born, and took it out from time to time.

I had it out for about 8 months, and this thread "inspired" me to put it back in. Lotta bit of hurt, little bit of blood, but it's in. And, yep, I still love it.


It's also helped me with my new years resolution to stop biting my nails.

well so far i have 3 tattoos i have an abstract star burst on my lower back then a tweety bird on my right ankle and my daughters name circling my left ankle

None ... have thought about it but I am not a permanat kinda girl so the come off with baby oil will work for me..

Acrylic paint comes in vibrant colors and washes off with soap and water. Its probably not all that good for your skin, but I've done it a few times and have not had a problem.
