Ok I just would like to say that I am so proud of myself right now... and I know you all will be a good support to me, so that's why I'm saying this here. I am THE lazyest person ever, have never exercised, and hate to do so. BUT all i have had is drama in the past year and vowed that 2006 will be "Christina Year". no men drama, etc. So I am going to work on ME! I joined a gym, a real gym for the first time in my 23 years... and am vowing to get in shape. I went for the first time tonight, 45 mins on the treadmill and feel great!!!
That's all I wanted to say, if anyone's considering it for 2006, DO IT!! i am soo looking forward to all the great results

Christina, that rocks! That is wonderful, Stick to it. Take care of yourself first. I know when I've been through a lot over time, it makes me very inert, and I become quite lazy.

Yey for you! I just joined for the first time too... it feels so good after a workout.

I am patiently waiting for the weather to improve so I can start riding my bicycle again.

We joined a new 24 hour access gym and I am anxious to go actually.
I have been sick since the day after I signed the paperwork.
Some kind of bug going around that makes you dizzy (vertigo) and a head cold. I have been fighting it since saturday. The dizzy part is going away some with my prescription med.
But I have a 3:00 appt. on friday with one of the trainers to show me around, etc...
I am gonna do it this year!! I want my old body back!!

thanks guys! and good luck to everyone else starting some new goals for 2006! it certainly does feel good when you're done, I am so proud of myself so far. I just saw that there is a fitness/weight loss thread, so I am going to go check that one out

I bought a treadmill and have started using it, too! I made an Excel spreadsheet to log date, time, distance, and calories every time I use it. A lot of people prefer outdoor walking, and I guess I am one of them, but by the time I get home, it's dark. This way I can still go walking!

We'll all be here to support you any time you need it, though I suspect you may be spending a little less time on the computer.
