While doing some research right before Xmas I came across an old thread by TNR1 (Katie) about the Bowling Green Shelter in Kentucky. They offer the opportunity to sponsor a cat (or dog) that would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space. Donations can be made in any amount toward the cat's vet care or up to 1/2 of its adoption fee.
I checked out their website and was impressed with what I saw. I know there are many rescue groups and shelter in need of financial support, but when I
looked at their petlist, the first cat I saw was a sweet, young gray/white male, who reminded me so much of my Peter. I made a donation toward his adoption fee. I just learned today that after many months in the shelter he was adopted last Friday. I'm going to a sponsor another cat as soon as I can.
