Mink Ragdolls

Hello Everyone!!!!


It's official!!!! All MINK RAGDOLLS are traceable to MINK RAGAMUFFINS. I recieved the official confirmation from the TICA Registrars Office today that the Ragdoll Database has been corrected to reflect outcrossing to RagaMuffins to achieve the introduction of the Sepia gene into the Ragdoll Breed genepool.

This means that all prior SBT MINK RAGDOLL status have now been corrected and have been reverted back to their proper breeding sequence of AON, BON and CON.The Ragdoll Breed does not allow outcrosses and the "N" in these registration Codes indicates "Not Allowed".SBT Ragdoll Breed status for these outcrosses will now have to be achieved through actual Breedings.It's been a ten year process for me but now it's done! Updated Certified 5 Generation Pedigrees will cost $50.00.

Wow, Curt, it sounds like congratulations are in order here! And the sheer fact that it took 10 years to accomplish deserves several hearty pats on the back and at least a couple of Atta Boys! *smile*

I am totally clueless about these Breeds other than what I have been reading here. I presume this is a good thing for the breed ... can you expand on why and how it is a good thing for those of us unfamiliar with the breed?

It's good for both the RagaMuffin and Ragdoll Breed by keeping and having accurate Breed and pedigree records and Breed Historys.Mink Ragdoll Breeders have claimed the Sepia color gene has existed in their breed from the very foundation of their Breed and with the correction that has taken place it now shows that this new gene was obtained thru outcrossing to another Breed.Their records are now accurate!
