The post about the death of Mr. Jingle Worm made me start thinking. Have you given any of your cat's toys odd names?

Abby has a huge gray mouse that we refer to as "Big Gray Mouse Must Die" because if you saw her with it, you know that is what is going through her head while she plays with it.

Any other strange toy names out there?

We have one toy that we bought as a Christmas gift for a friends golden retriever. Well it never made it into the wrapping paper.
Our little 6 month old, Tango, took one look at it, and launched into attack mode. Now, this is a toy for a large dog. It's basically a long soft stuffed dog made of terry with a squeeker inside. We got it at pet smart.
Tango is shorter than the toy, but he just brutalizes this thing. Rabbit kicking it, throwing it in the air and then pouncing on it. He drags it all over the room and just pummels the thing.
It's all snagged up now, the squeeker is broken. It really looks like a 10 year old toy.
All the other cats look at Tango like he has gone mad. They won't lower themselves to play with a dog toy.

So anyway, we call the toy, "the victim", or "the vic", and when Tango is working it over he is known as the "perp".

My cat Jade has a little arm of a small stuffed toy monkey minus the stuffing! that she lugs around with her often. We refer to it as Mr Monkey Paw.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Oooooh what a great thread

We have dozens...
'Bellie', a stuffed mouse, who used to have a tail with a bell on the end (hence bellie) sadly he lost his tail in an accident, he's the top toy everybody loves bellie.
'Housey', its a little fold up house type thing from pets at home made out of scratch post stuff, great for hiding from your big brother in.
'Wirey' one of those bendy cable ties made out of wire, actually it's not the same one as they never last more than a day without getting lost so I have to provide a constant stream of 'wirey's' for the babies, sssshhh dont tell them though.
'Mousey' a less entertaining pink mouse, occasionally called 'Pinky Mousey'.
And millions more.....you get the picture

Generally we take the name of whatever it is and add a 'ey' on the end, for Christmas they got a 'Santarey' and 'Raindeery'.
We also love 'Catty Dancery'
You know what I've just realised we are so sad...

Reilly has this gross deformed toy that used to be a hippo. He's had it since he was about 8 weeks old (so I was told) we call it his Hiphipanonomous

We have these really stupid names for Lily's favortie playtoys. They are called Macey & Coco. They are 80 & 50 lbs, respectively. One is a GSP/Lab/Coonhound mix & the other a purebred Lab!
Their tails are the most fun, but watch out, they can deliver a good solid whap in the face!

The laser pointer is, of course, called "red dot", as in "Do you want to play red dot?" "Icky mouse" is the remains of a black fur mouse on a fishing pole (Jamie's favorite), and "new icky mouse" is its replacement. "Poor mousey" is a gray fur mouse on a fishing pole. It looks pretty sad, too, but is preferred to other mousies. We also have "orange bally" which is much more special than all the other balls in the house.

OMG, I nearly choked on the sandwich I was eating, and I believe some of it is now lodged in my right nasal passage!

We call the laser pointer "Spot".

Excellent thread!
Love some of the names.

We have Pink Kitty, a stuffed animal, that Arthur and Kepi do unspeakable acts to. I hope Pink Kitty is a girl, LOL. Then there are the Milk Rings, always popular. Arthur's bed looks like a giant paw, we call that The Paw of Bast.

LOL love some of these names!

We just have Pushy's cushy - a once catnip filled little cushion toy that has been ripped to shreds.
Mr Slinky b**tard - the cats seem to hate him, they go absolutely nuts when they see him!
And "the red thing" - the remains of a gaint jumping red spider toy.

Well Mr. Jingle Worm minus the "Mr" is really named that

But anyhoo...we call Alix's beloved Sour Pusss Lemon her "baby" as she loves to give it a vigorous bath when I roll it over to her. She's been bathing the same baby for many months now, the toy (& the catnip inside)dries out beautifully
