Hello, my name is Anna and I am a vet tech at the Associated Humane Society in NJ. There is alot of sadness where I work, but every recovery of an abused or abonded cat makes my job worthwhile. I live with three cats, Munky, Foxy,and Maly. They're all pretty crazy, but I love em'.

Welcome aboard!
My daughter and I used to volunteer in the cat room at the Humane Society here. It was one of the most rewarding things we have ever done - that was about 7-8 years ago and she still talks about it.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your cats.

I applaud the work you are doing!
I volunteered for our local SPCA years ago on our mobile adoption days where we took the animals out to the community for more exposure to adoption.
Those were happy days because usually most, if not all, of our pets were adopted. (We would take them to large, high-profile community events.)
I'd have to go inside the kennels to help load the animals for travel, but that was always so hard for me, so I have a bit of understanding of the sadness. I used to work for Hospice where, except in very rare cases, the outcome was inevitable, but I loved the work. I think each of us has the abilities needed for particular jobs and I thought I would NEVER do Hospice work.
Ok, I went off on a tangent there...as I tend to do.
Again, thank you for the wonderful work you are doing for our animals.
