How old is your kitty, and what kind of food are you feeding him?
I think it's a matter of what you're feeding him. He sounds like he has some allergy going on. Poor little stinky bum!

Monte had BAD gas when we brought him home

The breeder had him on Iams, my vet said that food was too rich for him. We chagned foods and it went away.

Both of those I believe have soy... Soy is a gas maker in cats and dogs ... Try a dry food with no soy... go to a petstore

And could he have a parasite?

Our kitten (Max) was a bit gassy when he was on a canned/dry diet. Now that we feed him raw his gas is completely gone. We have also noticed there is virtually no odor when he defecates. He also has a very shiny coat and his fur is very soft. His smelly breath has also gone away.
