question about worm pills

does anybody know how long those one time worm pills suppost to last? the ones you get from the vet?

Generaly they kill off whatever worm you're trying to get rid of and that's it. Sometimes the vet will recommend giving a second dose in two weeks if there is a heavy infestation. Most people with outside cats who hunt and eat their prey have to worm them a few times a year.
