Well, I just love the gray, cloudy dreary days. So I would trade with you in a heartbeat!
I'm just so happy when it's like that.
We do see those days pretty often though this time of year. I'm a rare one who gets somewhat depressed if I see the sun too often.

Yes, that's a pond in middle Ga. We moved here in 1972 from Miami, Florida and it's still too cold here for me but it'd be a nice change for you
.

Southernlocs: Wouldn't happen to live in Houston County would you? That's were we are, just South of Centerville.

Oh, and the Bass was released to be caught again
.

Dan

I live in Tucson and our Mt. Lemmon boasts the southernmost ski area, in the continental US.

Throw in low cost of living, affordable housing, great food and spectacular sunsets.
I will vouch for all of this (except housing is more expensive in Tucson than it is here). And Christmas lights on cacti and ocatillo's are just too funny. I LOVE Tucson!!

Hey, I
Minnesota! I wouldn't trade this "rotten" weather for anything! What's a winter if its not snowy & cold? (I really do love winters here). Winter is my favorite season. I have been devastated that we didn't have much of a winter for the last 3 years.

At least we have finally seen the sun. And it is supposed to be 35 & 40 degrees later this week. That's almost shorts weather(here, anyways)!

I live in Harris County Ga and we are growing pretty darn fast too! Maybe its the weather or maybe its just all the southern hospitality...

I wouldnt live any other place.. except maybe Hawaii!

I'm very jealous that you can be wearing "just a shirt" in December Dan! It looks like Sept. in Minnesota in that picture! And by the way, that's a nice fish too!

You sound like my 17 yr. old son! He LOVES to snowboard and thinks this winter is way too warm! Well, he can stay here then. I've been here for 12 years now and I've had enough!

I live in MN as well, and we have sun today!

I really must be crazy because I love the MN weather, although there are a few days that I would love to fly to Florida and lay on the beach for a few days!!

Hmm, Dan, I was in Atlanta the last week of December, and it wasn't anywhere near that warm!

I live in Central-Western, GA in Columbus, and most of the time we have fablulous weather! We are in just the right location to miss all the funky stuff coming in off the coasts and just southern enough, not to have to deal with extreme cold! I mean we are about an hour and a half below Atlanta and while we were comfortably chilly, they were having ice storms!! BLEH! I'll take 70-80 degrees any day!! Our Summers are just long enough, though be it very hot, and our winters are the perfect length to cool you off!! I wouldn't trade it for anything! I would love to live in FL, but I couldn't handle the stress of the hurricanes!!

Just "RUB IT IN" DAN!!! We started with about 15 for the morning low and it got to a whopping 36 today I believe. And that's a warmfront for here! Btw, is that all you do is fish? It's for the cats, right?

Amanda: Wanna go Bassin'
?

Lndscpsam: No, the Bass aren't for Ginger. I release all the Bass I catch after weighing, taping(the length), and taking their pic. They live to be caught again in fact, I've caught this 6 lber three different times
over a period of about three months.

This is exactly the reason I moved to NC. I grew up in NH and also lived in MT and CO (not to long primarily NH).

I really had a hard time getting through the winters...they never ended!! It was struggle after struggle. I can't even imagine that the southern most region of Canada is worse than that... Ugh I was so ready to leave when college came so I came to school in NC.

Let me tell you this is where I'm staying! We still have a winter but its short! And we still get a little snow but it melts in a couple days! We occasionally get ice storms but the whole city shuts down because no one can operate a vehicle here in bad weather. Wonderful! I'd just as soon stay home anyway.

The summers are hot but tolerable. Hurricanes come once and a while but its a big state and they usually don't hit us directly and the coast gets the brunt. I didn't know weather could be so easy to get along with as this state has.

Now my fiance thinks its way to cold
.

Well tomorrow night's looking to be a girl's night in, then there's plenty of time for the beach Friday, and then it's OUT with the girls that night! Someone should really invent a magic carpet or get moving on teleportation or SOMETHING! You should totally join us!
