We are moving on the 14th of this month. Its going to be a 10 -12 hour ride with me, my two kids, the two cats, and the three dogs all in one vehicle. Im planning on stopping 2 times. both times to potty the dogs and grab a snack and take care of diapers and such. ( the cats will be up front with me and the dogs in the very back so im not worried about the dogs agitating the cats too much) Generally with my dogs, i withhold food the nite before so i dont have to worry about vomiting too much. My cats have never travelled before especially this long of a ride. We are NOT able to make it a 2 day trip. I am also going to get some rescue remedy next week for the trip-- does it come in a liquid or just pellet/tablet?

Should i withhold food for the kitties too? I usually put food down for the dogs around mid afternoon and take it up by 8 pm the night before we leave. I feed them when we get where we are going and have no problems. Water is offered at potty stops. Comments on this please.

That doesn't sound like a bad plan. I would not use any medication on the cats - I just don't believe in doping them up for trips. A cover over the carrier will usually calm most any cat - they will sleep most of the time anyway without drugging them.

And I would wait till I stopped at nite to feed/water them all - no food in the morning before traveling.
