They are seeing a boom in puppies, and it isn't puppy season. They are expecting the same for kittens.

If only those dogs and cats were spayed/neutered BEFORE the hurricane!!

That's so sad! Just forwarded this onto my friend the dog trainer who was down there after Katrina rescuing dogs. She may repeat the trip.....

This is why we must press spaying/neutering more. I honestly believe the only way we are going to prevent a situation like this from happening again is to spay/neuter every pet animal.
