Thought you'd all like to know...

As a writer, who happens to work for the Catholic Church, I take my responsibility to keep the general public informed on important matters of faith very seriously.

So, I thought you'd all like to know some significant information that was published in these week's issue of our diocesan newspaper. Bear in mind, this information may have serious ramifications on the future of the Church as we know it. So, here goes: contrary to popular belief, our archbishop does not wear black jammies to bed.

Now, consider yourselves informed.

Our editor, who did the interview, said she was afraid to ask him that because she was afraid of what the answer might be!

I am almost afraid to ask how the subject came up, and why it was widely believed that he wore black jammies to bed

Apparently, it all started with a conversation about where the archbishop went on vacation last year (Gatlinburg) and whether or not he went incognito. The large group of people he was addressing actually thought he wears his black suit and collar all the time. They also figured he wears black jammies, so he felt obliged to point out that he doesn't.

I guess these are the kinds of things that are important to local Catholics.

Why doesn't it surprise me that this has taken a turn toward being an underwear thread?! I'd forgotten about the nun one. Now, I'm going to get a reputation!
