Last week when Wednesday I noticed two spots on Whiskey's ear which were kind of hard and they flaked off, now I've noticed two bald spots over his eyes (1 over each) that really look like the hair has been thinning.

I've tried to get an appt. w/our vet but they were closed and the only available spot they have is for next Tuesday when he gets neutered. I thought he might have ear mites but now I'm worried it might be worse than that. Especially since he gets his last dose of PYR A PAM next Wednesday.
Would any1 have an idea as to what it could be? Thanks for the help.

Is he on any sort of flea treatment? The spots above his eyes look like he's been scratching at them.

He has been scratching but mostly rubbing his head everywhere. Nope, no flea treatment at all. I had actually bought a flea/tick collar and when I asked the vet she said he didn't need it since he was an indoor cat w/no contact w/other catsand she didn't see anything when he had his check up. Which confused me since I told her that I wasn't sure about the parents care and upkeep.

Then again I'm a first time furbaby mom and just like w/my kids I try to be very careful w/health & hygiene.

The thin patches above the eyes is pretty normal, as long as there's no scabbing, all cats have that, it's just harder to see on some cats. But the patches on the ear, they look like circular patches and that could be consistent with ringworm. I'd have it checked out asap. Let us know what you find out. Good luck!

Please do not put a flea collar on your kitty. They can be very toxic and actually do harm.

Well I just got back from the vet one kitty lighter and a whole lot more worried. From the quick look by the vet he thinks it might be ringworm. Hopefully, the kids won't get it. Off to sterilize my apartment just to give me something to do to help keep from missing my baby.
