I noticed yesterday that two of kiki's back teeth are sticking into her gums when she closes her mouth. It's a top tooth on either side and looks quite painful. when I open her mouth there are two littel holes in her gums where her teeth rest. poor kittie ! she has no problems eating or anything though luckily.

I'm going to take her to the vets this week. I have no idea what they will suggest, filing them shorter ? removing them ??

Does anyone have any thoughts ?

A quick update. I took Kiki to the vets last night. The vet said she's never seen anything like it !

Has anyone on here ever seen it ? the vet said her top teeth at the back are unusually sharp and may need filing or removing if her gums don't grow around where the teeth are sticking in.

I do many dental cleanings and have seen all kinds of tooth problems, including your cat's. If it's really causing her discomfort, we would remove the offending teeth.
