I have just washed the inside of my windows, and it looked fine untill the sun came out and there is marks all over it from me cleaning it!!
My mum told me to never wash the outside of the windows in winter because it cracks the glass... but they are so dirty!!!

So now im asking you guys the question...

How do you wash your windows?

If it`s freezing out you can`t do the outsides.
But if not, then you can...just do them when the sun is NOT shining on them, or they will tend to have a smeary film.
I use the reg blue Windex and the CHEAPEST all white paper towels I can find. (The more expensive, soft one seem to leave a film.)
Some people swear by vinegar water and newspapers....but I hate the blackish stuff that gets on my hands from the ink....(would`nt you think in this day and age they could print papers with ink that did`nt come off on you???)
I don`t try to get all the dirt off in the first spray and wipe either. I just try to get the worst off ...and get all the way around the edge of the window really good. Then the second spray and wipe does a great job.
It is not "fun" to wash windows...but the clean clear glass is sure worth it afterward! (At least until the kitty kisses start happening a few minutes later anyhow!)
Happy washing!
Oh...and by the way...how is your mouth feeling today?
Linda

Thank you linda, yes i use the windex stuff but i noticed that bathroom cleaning lemon spray works better, and i use kitchen paper towels too

My mouth are doing alot better, the wounds are even smaller today. so hopefully most of it will be gone by tomorrow or the day after

I just spray it with windex and wipe it off with news paper, but I am not a clean expert though.

Are you ready for this? What I'm gonna share is my top secret trick! I'm only gonna share it on TCS....I don't! I just leave the blinds down! Call me lazy, but I don't see a speck of dirt or streaks!

Just kidding of course. I use windex and paper towels.

I agree. I keep one set of rubber gloves just for this job and thus don't need to worry about the black ink. After I finish I wash my hands (with the gloves on) to get most of the black off.

When I volunteered for the cat rescue we had to wash the windows daily, first with bleach water to get any messes off the window.. then just normal Windex to shine it up.
We cleaned the outside windows in the winter though, because people always left finger marks from pointing at the kitties
I didn't know if would do anything to the windows?

I have a window cleaner who comes twice a month to clean the outside front windows - they are the ones that get the most dirty as they are on the main road.

However, the outside back windows I clean myself with just plain water and dry them with kitchen towels, which seems to do the job nicely!

I have heard that using newspaper to dry them makes them really shiney and also, if you do clean them and it's sunny, wear your sunglasses so that you can see any smears!
