New Baby!

Me and my wife adopted a Siamese mix (mostly Siamese tho) like a week or two ago.........however we just picked him up on New Years Day..........he's about four years old..............

we've always been dog people, but our current apartment doesnt allow dogs only cats "secretly" so we decided to adopt a kitty..........we saved him from a kill shelter where he was on "death row"...........
he is the sweetest cat i have ever seen........all he wants to do is be with one of us.........on the couch while we watch TV, sleeping in bed w/ us, he comes on the couch when we call him (like a dog, patting on the cushion), he settled in really quickly, he lays on his back to get his belly rubbed, he's really well behaved.........we couldnt have asked for a better cat...............
we are soo happy........He is our "baby" now, at least until the wife wants realy babies............
we've been married since Oct. 9, 2005....................

Dumb question, but this is our first cat and the place we adopted it from told us it was a boy.............he seems to look like a female tho, but a few people told us that the penis only comes out during sex and that males squat to pee just like females.............is this true......?

Yes my male cats squat to pee. Did they say if he had been neutored?? If he hasn't been then he needs that done ASAP. Welcome to the board. And he sure is one pretty boy!

He's just a gorgeous little boy! I love them Meezers, my Simon is the best cat I have ever had the pleasure of serving LOL. Is he a talker? Mine only cries when he can't find me.

Welcome to TCS. It seems like they should have known if he was a he or a she. Maybe it`s just throwing you off caise he has a face pretty enough to be a girl.
He looks still sweetly kittenish.

Yes, they told us that he is male, but w/o seeing a penis or testes and the squatting to pee, we werent sure..........we've always been "dog people"..............

I agree they should of known if he was a boy or a girl - have you taken him to have a vet checkup? always a good idea when you bring a new kitty home. How wonderful you saved this boy - he sure is one handsome fella!!
