I have a kitty facial exfoliation device

Have I mentioned that Luna Eve is extremely affectionate? Every night since coming home Saturday, she has cuddled and snuggled with me in bed. Last night/early this morning, she woke me up by licking up and down one entire side of my face. When I tried to roll over, she repeated on the other side. Either I was in serious need of grooming, tasted mighty yummy, or this is one lovey cat.
I've never had one lick me this much? Is it odd?

Zoey does that at times and she also grooms my hair/// I dont know about normal since Zoey is a bit nutty ( look at her mom)

Cleo does that. Cats groom each other as a sign of affection and friendship. She grooms me too much sometimes, where her sandpaper tongue starts to hurt my skin.

ah.. i love this so much. I was spending new years eve on my own this year, which i was really dreading, and was quite emotional on the 31st.. had a little cry in the living room sitting on the floor a la bridget jones, when Theo jumped up behind me and started grooming my hair and licking my face. It was like he was reminding me that he loves me. Poor theo, it was so touching it made me cry all the more!!

Ahh...Lily does this, too. Just think, Luna probably was licking her butt before she licked your face. Sorry, but I still let Lily lick my face despite where her tongue has previously been. That's what a devoted kitty mom does!

One of my cats growing up would groom me if I took a nap outside. I would wake up with half a head of cat spit and would try to get up only to have her claws in my scalp. She wasn't done yet

I have one of these devices too, he doesn't do it as much as he has gotten older. He started out suckling, but now licks. How old is new kitty?- she's very pretty BTW.
We were away for 2 nights last week and I was attacked the next night by him- he was very insistent that my entire face be cleaned. He is also into grooming the other kitties as well.

The shelter has her DOB as 3/20/05. I weighed her tonight, she's only 3.5-4 lbs., so I wonder if they have the date wrong? She's going to meet her vet this week, so I'll ask him.

Our 7.5 month old male, Charlie, is a big licker. I usually get my entire face cleaned at least once per day. His favorite is to lick the end of my nose, which can get quite painful after a couple of minutes. Our little male, Casey, is just starting to become a licker except that his preference is my lips . Personally I think it is the cutest thing ever, except when they do it a 3AM!!

Mister Mustache sucks, chews, and kneads my hair If I lay still long enough. He will (oddly) only start if I am laying awake. Then he'll purr in my ear all night and sleep on my head until I wake up.

With Gracie, I get my nose, chin and ears groomed on a regular basis. Apparently I don't do a good enough job of cleaning these areas myself! Actually, it's very cute and she gives me kisses on request.

chloe grooms me while i sleep also. when im sick or sad, she holds me down and grooms my hair.
last nite, i woke up and she was touching noses with me--i almost had a heart attack lol
im not sure if she was checking to see if i was breathing or checking to see if i had any pizza still on my face

Lovey only started doing this after he fully realized our bond. It took months for him to start but now does it usually to my arm or face or hand with a vengeance..I know what you mean about the sandpaper! Ack...I just move a teeny bit so its not in the same spot too long as it really does hurt!

I also remember hearing that cats have tons of bacteria in their mouths for the purpose of killing prey faster and always wondered what that did to the skin...But it hasn't killed me yet so..

Nope, I get a full exfoliation at least once a night. My only defense is to pull the covers over my head!
