I have a 7 1/2 year old persian mix male named Ricky. I took him to the vet right be Christmas for a urinary tract infection. He was exrayed and had his urin tested. The vet came up with the urinary infection diagnosis and put him on an antibiotic for a week. He seemed to getting better then just today he started acting sick again and is straining in his litter box again. I know I'm going to have to take him to the vet but I'm already way over my head in vet bills from his last visit along with vet bills from another sick cat I had who ended up dying even though I took her to vet several times. Does anyone know of any organization I could apply to for help. I want him to get the proper care but I've come to a point where I may not be able to pay my bills.

Sometime a different antibiotic is needed for a UTI or a longer course of it. if you can't afford another vet visit call the vet you went to and tell them whats going on. Often they will try another antibiotic without having to go back in. This will save on cost.If you think more is going on with your cat then a UTI then the cat does need to be examined again.

Thanks I didn't think of that but it sounds like a good idea.

Some places have something called Care Credit. It's like a credit card you apply for, and it's for vet bills....maybe ask your vet or look it up online?
