Introducing another girl to the fold

Cassie and Sophie are just getting acquainted, I know.....and then I brought home Luna yesterday.
From having to fend for herself outside when her original owners abandoned her, Cassie is a very nervous cat. Introducing her to other cats is going to be a slow, patience-consuming adventure for us all. I'm letting Cassie rule the basement and indoor porch, with some very short, well-monitored visits into the kitchen.
Luna was accustomed to being around other cats at the shelter, so my concern there was with Sophie.
I am happy to say that they are actually getting along quite well! Sophie growls a little and hisses, but is really just following Luna around the house like a nervous hen. This morning, I caught them playing with one another, pawing around the corner of the hallway at each other.
For now, I'm still holding my breath, but things look very good so far!

If they're playing already, i'm sure things will be fine. I hope all 3 kitties can be together eventually and you'll all be happy! How sweet!

Oh my gosh, you should see these two!!!

I was in bed last night, reading, and all I could hear were tinkling collars and thundering cat paws. Getting up to investigate, I found the girls, in a crazy game of tag, running all over the house, PLAYING TOGETHER!!!!

This morning, they had breakfast side-by-side and ran off to the litterboxes together, too!

I am sooooo happy that Sophie took this well! Looks like she and Luna are gonna be great friends!
