My 10 y/o dd has decided to join 4-H, and will be working with cats. She is going to be keeping our little formerly feral kitten known as Red. She is asking for help with a good name for a dear jet black girl. She does have a few white hairs in a line across her tummy...which is never seen! LOL! She remains very cautious, but loves her pets at meal times.

Here is the kitten formerly known as Red.

Here are the sisters, Red and Blue, with Uncle Garfield. He isn't too impressed with them, but they like Uncle Gar real well. I often see them head bonking him, and have caught him giving them a quick bath when needed.

The names dd is thinking of include Jasmine, Chi (pronounced Chee, like in Cheese, so I'll assume Ryan likes that name best!
), Faith, Pearl, Sandy, Beauty, Lilo, Nani, or Grace. She is also open to other suggestions. Thanks for your help!

I
the name LILO.

Another suggestion, if I may, why not just keep "RED & BLUE" and they can be "LILO & STITCH"

Well, Blue is going to be adopted...soon...hopefully!
And I can just see myself in 10 years, explaining why we have a girl kitty named Festus, a black kitty named Red...Also, she isn't real tame. Although Blue knows her name, Red doesn't know hers. So dd can easily rename her something she really likes.

I like Midnight, too, but one of our foster litter of babies is black, and is the only one that the previous owner's daughter had named. So we currently have a kitten named Midnight here.

Lilo and Stitch! 5 y/o ds is already planning on naming the boy kitten he gets Stitch. I explained to him that he isn't getting a kitten, but he doesn't seem too worried. Hmmm...sometimes I think the kids are smarter than me. I never planned to keep Festie or Garfield. And I still think Sugartoes is up for adoption, although she doesn't seem to think so. Anyone need a cat or two or eight?

I was thinking of naming Elsa "Isis" at first...I also like Jasmine. I'm so happy for her that you're keeping her!

I think I like Jasmine, too.....but you saw how indecisive I was on my own thread! Could barely name my own cat, let alone help you with yours!

So far, it seems like Jasmine is pulling ahead. DD seems to be liking Jasmine best, too. My first foster kitty, Festus' Mom, who we called Miss Kitty, was renamed Jasmine when she was adopted. And my bil had a black german shepard named Jasmine many years ago. I like Jasmine, too, and of course baby Jasmine is a little doll!

Here's a link to the thread in the feral forum about when we first got the babies. They have come so far. And I am so glad I don't have to hand feed them anymore! LOL!

We did a lot of petting at meal time, and dd's kittens still really expects the loving at meal time. They are free fed now, but all the cats tend to eat in the evening.

Here... or There... Hmmm
What about the name Stormy. It has a sort of darkness to it and if she is still a bit weary it is fitting that way as well! That's my addition to the name game!! LOL
