Geez i have missed yall -- I took my laptop house hunting this week in Texas but didnt even have a chance to pull it out of the jeep. OMG housing is soooo expensive in texas compared to here in mississippi. We managed to secure a nice house in a good neigborhood with great school for a decent price. We are moving in in 2 weeks. Hubby will be staying behind to sell the house in Mississippi. There are so many differences between here and Houston area. Here in Mississippi everything is regulated utility wise except phone service. In the town we are moving to in Texas, NOTHING is regulated, not even the garbage service. So now i have to research all these different companies and figure out which ones we want to go with. The only thing that is with the city is the water. We will hopefully be able to save some money on groceries though, Texas doesnt have a grocery tax nor do they have state income tax. and the tags for vehicles are really cheap which is super good because my jeeps tags for MS are due in Feb 2006 and are around 350$ per year-- in Texas the same tag is gonna cost me under $100.00. YEAH BABY! The only thing that is with the city is the water.
I literally cannot wait to move. Its about an 10-12 hour drive and we are hoping to move everything but one bed and a tv and appliances (to leave for hubby to use). So me, the kids, the dogs (3) and the two cats ohh yeah the frogs too will hopefully be leaving on the 14th for Texas. We are going to do the move in one day. Leave early am and get there around rush hour or a bit later. ughhh rush hour in houston. yuck.
i just needed to tell someone as all my friends are already moved away to different places. Im really looking forward to the move. Now i just have to find a job.
