I'm one of those people that would rather stay home so we are just vegging and having various nibblies.

I would stay in, personally. It is much safer and you would enjoy yourself more in a peaceful environment!

We are staying in like we do every year! We are actually waiting by the phone patiently because my sister-in-law is getting purposed to tonight...and we want to toast to them at midnight...the anticipation is crazy!!

Having completely avoided going out with my curling team and getting bugged for not drinking like they do, my New Year's Resolution is to continue that trend and prevent excessive drinking entirely, so you can guess what I'm going to suggest..................... GO OUT TO THE BAR AND GET TOTALLY PLASTERED!!!!

I was just kidding there.
Seriously, I'd advise staying in and not getting drunk.

I just gorged on crab legs and had a beer, but that's the extent of my celebrating...
I'm actually getting sad sitting here, no one to kiss at midnight...

Scott, Summer, and I have had a ritual for the past few years of watching the Simpsons and Family Guy seasons on New Year's, and usually ring in the new year mid-episode

.....sounds pretty lame, but that's what we're doing!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

My past few new year's have either been, me alone because DH is asleep bc he's working through New Years, or me bugging him till he's grumpy and no fun awake anyway, or dh not even in the country....so I'm getting used to this way! I prefer to stay home or be with close friends too. Usually I get myself a bottle of sparkling grape juice but I forgot this year.

I actually did cry for a minute or so last night when the ball dropped, I felt so lonely. But then I started getting texts and phone calls from friends and family so it made me feel a little better.

someplace so boring i am slowly but surely losing
His(my) answer would have been the same. I do not believe in getting drunk EVER!!!!!
Do not suggest such a thing here ever!!! Especially drunk driving!!!

And don't feel bad, i just sat and watched the "twilight zone" marathon.
It was fun, but i wish i was in wisconsin with all the snow and cold and that fun stuff instead of stuck here in this god-forsaken city.
