Is it normal for a cat who has been declawed to paw things repeatedly? I have a 1 yr old female cat and she seems to paw the same things repeatedly everyday. Also, on a different subject does anybody know of a good automatic litter box? We have tried the LitterMaid Plus and the Purrforma plus but both never seem to work out that great. I prefer the Purrforma b/c it is hooded meaning that the cat has privacy as well as everybody not seeing the litter. Does anybody else's cat play fetch? Mine loves it. Just curious.

I've had 3 declawed cats, and the 2 I have currently paw stuff. PJ paws EVERYTHING in site (people included!). Teddy only paws one of our chairs, but it's a daily routine. PJ's favorite thing to paw is boxes. They're older (11 and 8), and I don't know when they were declawed since I adopted them as older cats, but I bet they've pawed stuff forever.

I have never had a declawd cat. So I'm guessing it's just normal for them to do it even with no claws. I have used a litter maid before. It broke a few months after we had it. I taught our older cat Molly to play fetch, she loves it!

Sophie does paw everything, but so does every other cat I've ever seen, declawed or not. Close her out of a room, though, and those paws go ballistic on the door!

Tiger does that too! Especially when I'm in the bathroom!
He doesn't like there to be any door between us and he either meows like crazy saying "Let me in!" or if there is enough room, paws go under the door and he acts like he is going to die if he can't come in too.
