I'm not psychic,I just see through people
i would just like to ask people to say a prayer for the feral cats of the world
tonight
as a new year dawns a terror will again inflict itself on the ears and hearts of all animals

that terror i call firework noise

if people saw the terror in the eyes of a feral cat they would never light a firework again

Absolutely....but let's also say a prayer for those ferals that are still not spayed/neutered that this year...more of them will be trapped, spayed/neutered and returned to a managed colony. I also pray that in 2006, we find more collaborations between animal controls/shelters and TNR groups.

I will have to sedate my horse tonight so he doesn't freak out and injure himself. Bailey- the barn cat who generally calms him down, will be nowhere in sight for Racer tonight, because both he and Cleo now live on the porch. I am not looking forward to tonight's release of fireworks. The people who live on the back hill always choose our pasture to shoot their bottle rockets at. Thankfully, the pasture is flooded right now, so maybe they will take that in consideration as they scope out their launching pads.

I hate fireworks, and they were going off at 3am here. My friend rang earlier to wish my happy new year, and when they got home, their dog had made her paw pads bleed due to being scared of the fireworks - they had forgotten all about them (they all had to stay in with her on bonfire night, as she is so scared of them)
