When I think of past New Year's resolutions, I can't really remember any that I made, so I must not have stuck to them.
Has anyone here made a resolution and succeeded in living it out accordingly? Anyway, my resolutions are to:

1. Be in better physical shape than I was last year by May 1st.
2. Avoid excessive drinking.

Believe it or not, number 2 will be easier. Anyone who can stick to their resolution this year, please dig up this thread later in '06 and make us all look bad!

I've neeeeeeeever been able to stick to a New Year's resolution for more than 2 1/2 days.....
I still make resolutions, though. Just never works out.

That was my resolution last year!

But I am breaking it this year for the dieting/get fit resolution as well as spending more time on me stuff rather than work.

I'm going to smile more, and buy at least one pair of shoes or boots for every month of next year

No, I've never stuck to one either...My new ones are:
1. Stop procrastinating!
2. Get in better shape!
That's all I got.

Wow, Fwan, we still have 8 hours!
It's so weird to see the time difference sometimes.

I'm impressed. That's a long time and a major change.

Here... or There... Hmmm
I don't REALLY make a resolution every year though I do say that I need to lose weight, but then again I tell myself that DAILY! Does it help? NO! Do I still tell myself again? Yes! But I am yet again going to try this year as well. Will it work? Probably not but hey, it's not hurting me to try!

Edited to add: I just noticed MoochnNoodles does the same thing!!

The only one I have kept is the one made after one of the winter blizzards that occurred in the late 1970s. I will not wish for snow in the middle of summer.

Try reverse psychology on yourself.
