Hiya! My cat Baby is being VERY vocal especially if I'm not holding her and is rubbing against me almost constantly. Why is she doing this?

Hi
I just wanted to welcome you to TCS. I'm not an expert on cats but there are other people here who are very knowledgeable and very willing to help. If you could provide us with some additional information about Baby, we will be able to give you better responses!

In my opinion, it sounds like she is just trying to get some more TLC. She may just be telling you how much she loves you. Our kitties are very verbal. They will do similar things....I just pamper them. Needless to say it's a love fest!!!

You didn't say how old your kitty is. The reason I ask; is it possible she could be going into heat?

I ask because my kitty acted like this when just under six months of age. I enjoyed her constant attention & mrrww meows for a couple of days & decided that was what was taking place. Took her in to the vet. They told me AFTER the surgery that there was a $25 extra charge since since was in heat.

Just a thought. Good luck to you & kitty.

Sounds like she's in heat to me! The easiest way to tell is if she is more affectionate with her backside than with her front side!
Seriously though, if she is not spayed, that would really be a good idea. Heats can be annoying for you (noisy), and your kitty will be much more touchy than normal (kind of like PMS). She'll be happier all around if you get her spayed.
