AAAAACK! I JUST HAD SOME PEANUT BUTTER CUPS _ TWO OF THEM!!!! I FEEL A BINGE COMING ON!!!!!

Oh, and I did so well yesterday.

Sounds like many of you are doing better than my distractable a*s.

OK, I'm not bingeing. No no no. Thinking of best friends' wedding in July...thinking of bikini, arterial sclerosis and diabetes.....

Hmmmph. It's after lunch that always gets me.

I'm addicted to sugar and chocolate. Do they have rehab for that??

Ok, back to work. Can't nosh while singing or stringing a guitar!

I was good and just had a salad!!!

But I skipped breakfast because the thought of food made me even sicker.

I think you are allowed a daily treat - just eat good to make up for it.

My sweet tooth is only getting nibbles of Fiber1 cereal which despite having almost no sugar is actually quite sweet (and was used as a crunchy tpping for my salad instead of bacon bits)

I cleared out every piece of chocolate in the house by eating it new years eve so I wouldn't have the temptation

That is a pitfall for me, too. I try to substitute, for example a snack size pineapple cup for after lunch. Or I get the yogurt with fruit on the bottom. Makes a good breakfast, but also if you are hungry and craving sweets, it satisfies without spiking your blood sugar.

My daughter and I finished off my Fanny Mae chocolates New Years Eve, too. LOL! Great minds think alike!

I'm lucky -- instead of Chicago-style deep-pan pizza, I like thin-crust with light cheese, so pizza can be a very healthy meal for me if I do it right. And I just made a terrific discovery...

Last night I put a large flour tortilla on a cookie sheet, spread it with a thinnish layer of Boboli pizza sauce, sprinkled on some extra-sharp cheddar (not too much!), and put it on the bottom rack of an oven preheated to 400 degrees F.

Then (and this is the important part!) I turned up the heat to 415 degrees, so the heating element would come on and really crisp up the bottom of the tortilla for me. I let it cook about eight minutes until the edges of the tortilla were brown, then sliced it and sprinkled on some fresh chopped onions and some crushed red pepper. And it was GOOD!

Tomato sauce is good for you, a little cheese provides some protein, the onions are great for you, of course... and with the tortilla reducing the crust to a minimum, that's really a pretty healthy meal. Give it a try!

So mom had fresh pasta ready when I got home today, and I admit that I ate more than I should of (stupid portion control!). But I also ate well at work which is pretty hard to do since I work at a coffee shop, AND I made some really good jello light last night so I have a reasonable desert.
I also skipped the juice and had water today at work.

Mmmm...that tortilia pizza sounds good! Gotta try that sometime!

I love tortilla pizza! I make it all the time (and the good thing is that its crappy if you put too many toppings on it so you don't go overboard
)

Being sick may be good for me - I have lost weight from not eating much and only drinking water.

On the other hand, I want proper food!!!

Hope you feel better soon. Why don't you get some fresh chicken and make chicken noodle soup? Soup's always good when you're sick. Also I make a really good butternut squash soup and I'd be more than willing to post the receipe.
Make sure to take your vitamins!

Being diabetic and vegetarian, my problem is getting enough protein without also getting a lot of carbohydrates... so I'm trying to get back into my habit of having Granny Smith apple chunks dipped into Smucker's Natural peanut butter for breakfast (and sometimes lunch, too). It's a great combination -- the apple provides fiber, and the peanut butter provides protein and good basic nutrition. I did this daily for about six months awhile back, and I never felt better in my life.

Beware of REGULAR peanut butter, though... it's preserved by hydrogenation, a process that alters its molecular structure and makes it very bad for your heart. Some say the bizarre shape of the altered molecule may even make it carcinogenic. And anyway, once you try Smucker's Natural, you'll never go back! :-)

Hope everyone is doing well...

I did terrible, and lost NOTHING!
However, I ate more salad and vegetables last week than I have been eating. And I exercised several times.

Starting tomorrow, I will up the exercise, lower the snacking, and watch portion sizes.

Back in the day when I used to be on Weight Watchers, they used to tell us that the weight would be affected a week late. SO if you're bad one week and don't notice it on the weigh in but then you're really good the next week and gain, it's just that your body's a week behind. I don't know if it's true or not, it's just what they would tell us. ALSO apparently your body can fluxuate about 8lbs worth of water during the day, which is why it's so important to drink the 8 glasses (keeps the bloating down).
So my goal for today is to actually drink the 8 glasses of water and go for a walk on the tredmill. We're also supposed to be having pasta for dinner, so I'm going to load up on the salad, take more homemade really good fresh sauce and about half the pasta I usually do.
I haven't weighed myself yet. I'm kinda scared to. Maybe I'll do it before breakfast though, gotta know where I stand to see where I'm headed right?
Keep it up!

We had 2 weeks of vacation, so I did "ok". I'm about the same, but trying to skip the desserts, etc. I bought a pass to the recreation center, and so did my husband, so maybe that will help!!
