Well, this is interesting to say, but... I think TetraFin, yes, the fish-food company, should start designing some cat treats.
At first I thought my cats were weird, because they couldn't resist the stuff. But then I looked at the ingredients and found that it contains three different types of fish meal, some shrimp meal, and amino proteins... stuff cats love! Odd that its in fish food, but great for my kitties! They like it more than their normal food, and in small doses, I've noticed their coats having a glossier texture and their, well, they seem much more amiable. I have a tabby and my sister a siamese, and they both look great. I thought that Tetrafin should use the same stuff for kitty treats. They might make some money! Try it at home; I'm no health expert, but it seems like a good idea

My cats knocked over a huge container of fish food the other day (only a handful fell out) and I went up to get the vacuum, by the time I came back down my cats ate it, that fast...must be irresistable.

I'm all for some new company putting out a new brand of cat treats. Most of the stuff that's out there now is mostly corn and wheat. Yuck.

I will take corn and wheat to the chemical s in fish food...

If a company wants to come out with a grain free like evo for dogs I am all game..

Petguard makes a decent treat but it is $$

ah but there are many great treats out there that don't. Look up these brands - Grandma Lucy's, Rosie's Rewards, Dr. Harvey's Whisker Smackers, Old West Shrimp and Baa Bits, Whole Life cat treats, ShrimpNip, Wildside Salmon, Kitty Kaviar and there are more than these! This is what Alix and I look for - no preservative, no sugars/flours/dyes treats that are single protein source and excellent quality to boot.

Do you mean their Purrlicious tartar control treats...I agree they are good, but costly - both wholesale and retail.

Unfortunately I can't get any of the brands mentioned here. There's only one that's acceptable for both price and ingredients: Mother Hubbard's. There's another one that's organic, but it's $5 per small package. Doesn't leave much room for variety where I live.

Thanks for the reminder.... I was on " cookie' only track as my girls all think that the treats they get are supplements
... Kandie thinks wildside salmon is a great meal replacement..( I like it for the fact Kandie mom( mine too) can feed her when I am away
