On another mission

Well...Here I go again, saving the cats that already have homes.....geeze....

Well My friend and I are getting ready to bust up a BYB ring....A really bad one.....You probably read about them in my post in the "What is BYB" thread.....

In anycase thanx to TNR1 I have located a low cost mobile spay/neuter facility....And we are going in and taking the at least four flea infested unspuetered cats.........1 or more of them may be pregnant........

So we are going to get all the ones we can dewormed, deflead and speutered...

and any pregnant cats John and I will take in which case they can birth their kittens in a clean enviroment....then we will spay the mom(s) and rehome the bunch....(Minus the one that John falls in love w/ ).........

So I was wondering if we could get some good luck vibes that this all goes well....

Also I wanted to let you all know that we may have kittens to rehome, or even cats pretty soon......and in that case I wanted to let you all know incase anyone might be interested.....

I will update this thread w/ all details as they come to me.......

But I am only doing what any of us animal lovers would do....

I also wanted to ask if any of you had tips on this matter as well.....The mobile clinic is 60$ for a female 50$ for a male this includes a check-up,distemper/rabies shots, deflea/worm, felv/fiv test, speuter, and microchipping...so yeah not a bad deal......But this is coming directly out of our pockets, and its going to get pricey.......But we will do it....

But I heard somewhere that you can get certificates for free speuters...did i make that up in my head or is that for real.....we could really use those.....

Some cities do have certificate programs...but usually you have to show that you are "low income". Have you asked the clinic if you will give you a multiple cat discount since you are bringing in so many?

BTW....I'm so glad that you are helping these cats. If everyone would just help to spay/neuter a few cats...we would have a significant decrease in the homeless cat population.

I will have to find all this out......It depends on the number of cats they have....We are not sure, as sad as that sounds...I know they are all hevily flea infested....which means tapeworm......so I can imagine that this is going to be work.........

They are sooo flea infested that just petting them is unbareble......Its so awful Katie........

We will find out the actual numbers tomorrow.........Jim (my partner in this mission) is going to take a trip there tommorow and find out what needs to be done.....

If we can't afford all of them, and they dont give a discount than we may have to just do all the guys first and all the girls later or something.........

I will let you guys know whats going on as we do it....

If the clinic cannot help you....then I would recommend spaying the females first. It's a little more expensive...but females are the ones that get pregnant. You can also go around the neighborhood where this "situation" is and see if anyone would be willing to contribute to your efforts.
