Another Pooping ouside the litterbox question

Alcott has suddenly decided to stop using the toilet, which I spent ages training him to use. Because he's ONLY pooping outside the litterbox, the vet thinks its behavioral. I can understand, sort of-- London left, then more toilet training, then I went away for the holiday, but WHAT can I do about it? He ALWAYS does it on fabrics that need to be washed, which is a huge problem because I don't have a washing machine, so I end up hand washing comfortors until I can pay the laundromat to wash them.
