Never. As soon as something falls on the floor, I'm already mourning the loss because it's as good as gone to me. I won't even eat an apple if I haven't even cleaned it yet, and I throw away bottles of water if they hit the floor because my mouth is then too close to where it touched.

And yet I'll kiss the bottom of Cupid's feet.

I am not about to let any facts get in the way of my belief in the sacred 5 second rule. The only thing I won't pick up and eat is bread or toast that has butter, or something on it, that lands face down. And that's because the cat hair would get stuck in my teeth.

At work I dropped a chocolate covered almond. My co-worker called "5 second rule!", picked it up and ate it. I didn't have a chance.

As long as there's nothing grosser than cat hair on it, I'll eat it. But that assumes that the cats haven't already snagged it

I love it!

If it's something that can be rinsed off, there is a better chance of me keeping it. I am also with Chris - if it's something expensive, I will try to salvage it.

No, the picking stuff up that fell on the floor and eating it habit. I never do it.

I have to admit that I dropped a potato chip this afternoon, picked it up, and ate it. However, I had just steam cleaned the kitchen floor fifteen minutes earlier.
Generally, if it's raw vegetables or something else that can be washed off, and then will be cooked, I won't throw it out.

I'm not psychic,I just see through people
if i drop anything on the floor the dog used to have it,but since she died
and since i dont eat meat or fish, anything that gets dropped is not worth the effort for meir
so any waste gets put in a tub and put out near the railway embankment for the foxes,at least they will be grateful

If I won't eat it or give it to my pets, I'll toss it out the back door for the stray dogs.
Gee, maybe that's why we have so many stray dogs.

Yep, it's only another two hours. That would be three hours for you and Eric, right? I still see it's happy hour for you though by the way you're spelling. (Just kidding!
