Am I losing my marbles, or have the ingredients really changed?

the wet is still good ... some of the dry formulas have changed a bit

Feed a holistic-like cat food!

I really like Felidae for the dry (I'd love to feed all wet, but I have two little kibble addicts here) and, here's the kicker, it costs about the same as Iams and less (yes, less) than Science Diet.

It is true you spend less due to more being digested( thou when you compare holistic to "premium" you get the same waste due to holistic often adding grains and veggies but over all many cats are healthier thus saving on vets bills with a natural( my preferance) and holistic type foods...

Of course I can tell you that canned is better digested than dry ...

My cat on raw only is really pooping out about half as much as evan on wet...

I think the wet food is fine. The dry food though has animal digest according to their website.

I thought it was the "wet" being discussed
And btw, I was wrong in that the wet food can I looked at for its ingredients was acually a "Kitten" food not a "Cat" food as I said


I only use Royal Canin for a dry food and that was before I even knew about this wonderful BB

I actually don't get it at a grocery store but from Mondou. They have quite a few choices which is probably why I always feel the need to bring a dictionary, thesaurus, vet and translater every time I go.

I would disagree that the grocery stores do not carry good cat food.My cats have been eating brand name canned food from the market for years. One specific brand I find useful when I have a cat reluctant to eat. Cats are not as picky as we are. They eat mice, and lizards for goodness sake. As long as you stay away from the heavily dyed foods and the generic labels you should be just fine with store-bought cat food.

I get it at a little pet shop up the way from me...I don't think it's at Petsmart, but I also don't get up to Petsmart all that often. I know you can order it from Pet food direct

I wouldn't have a problem feeding cats mice and lizards from the wild. It's random unidentified and unidentifiable slaughterhouse waste products that I have a problem with. Slaughterhouses bear about zero resemblance to nature, sadly.
