Cats and Nuts

Hello ALL!!!

My hubby and I love nuts. We eat them everyday. He is mainly a walnut guy and I'm a cashew girl. They are roasted but not salted or anything. Our cats will go crazy over nuts. One time I left cashews in a plain site and Kuzya (my boy) ate all of them.

So my question is can we give them nuts?

You should not be feeding your cats people food period. Many of the foods we find enjoyable are not healthy for our pets. There are safe foods you can give them, but nuts are not for cats. Also Macademia nuts can send neurotoxins into the brain and effect the motor responses of your cat. So please, stick to the normal food for your cat, it is the safest way to go.
