Whoa
! That is a seriously nice dress! You go, girl
! I'd forgotten about Pyramid Collection. I'll have to surf that site sometime today.

No plans here for NYE. We generally try to hide on NYE as all the loonies (drunk loonies at that) are out on the road. And we are generally asleep looooong before midnight (I know, I know, a couple of sticks in the mud
.)

We'll be at a cat show in Raleigh for New Year's Eve and day. Not exactly the most hip thing to do, but at least we'll stay sober!

I GUESS that will have to suffice. Significantly less satisfying than an in-person one though.

Under the cats, mostly.
I'll be about 33,000 feet up..... (making an attempt on the mile high club!) Nah, seriously... I'm not sure what time zone I'll be in, because we'll be passing through to many
!! But I'll celebrate at the other end of the flight in Thailand, with a nice 13 hour bus journey - followed by a boat ride - to Phuket!!

We are going to a NYE party within a 10 minute walk. After that we'll have a nightcap at the bar because we live above it. No driving for us!

Me and a friend are going out to see a couple of movies, with some nachos and beer at a local pub in between. Pretty low key.

Staying at home, eating our traditional corned beef and cabbage supper and trying to keep the animals calm at midnight when all heck breaks loose. Especially the horses who hate fireworks. My concern is Racer and his leg. I really do not want him thundering in panic across the pasture when he could really hurt himself, but the one year I confined them in the barn during the fireworks he crashed through the side of the barn to get out when the fireworks started.

I know I'm a grinch for saying this, but I really hate fireworks. Every time I see them, I just worry about all the poor animals getting freaked out. A couple of years ago for Canada Day, we went down to this big lake nearby where they put on a big fireworks. It was ruined for me because of all the geese there who were swimming around in a frenzy trying to get away from the fireworks and scared of the crowds as well.

I'm going to my bf's sister's house, like I did last year. We just get some family and friends together and eat and drink. I make a variety of appetizers that they love.

The usual - staying home and trying to prevent Jamie from having a nervous breakdown because of the fireworks. Our neighbors have plans, so I told them that their dog could spend the evening with us (he and Jamie can distract each other: he's rather ill, so I should be occupied). I'll close the shutters, play some classical music, say good night to hubby when he retires around ten p.m., and then stay up till about one a.m., either posting here, reading (I've been saving Ann Rule's latest about the Green River Killer for New Year's Eve), or watching DVDs (Law and Order, or Law and Order:SVU). I'll probably end up cuddling with both the dog and cat in bed or on the sofa.

We are having a New Years Party at my house. We are inviting around 25 people to hang out and sit in the Hot Tub. We are also making around 400 jello shots......YUM!
