That is just too bizarre. That is just too hilarious!

Maybe he is trying to kill you...if you ate all those donuts, you probably would keel over from a coronary.

Death by donuts. Crafty, that one!

I did cut one open, it looked like a dried fruitcake inside with some wierd mince looking type of filling-

Death by Donuts, sounds like a new mystery novel to me!

Ma, he had the wrong house. I am certain of it. It's a gift. He is dropping something off for people whom he thinks are in great pain and need help. He does know them. It's his way of helping. There's a blue house in his life, and he thinks it's yours. He's a good man, yes, "off", but good. You have nothing to fear. I feel you're really safe (especially with China!
) but he's harmless. God speaks to us in ways we understand.... maybe it's just something to think about..... if anybody on your highway needs doughnuts, it's your crew, for all you do.

Love ya!

That is sooo weird!! I would have called 911 too if someone was poking around my house. Let us know if you find anything out about the "Crazy Donut Man"

Now you know me, i always have my suspicious head on!, but something tells me that he wasn't out to harm either. It's strange what he did though and i'd love to know why?!.

I dunno. I read and re-read Hissy's account of it twice, and I felt so strongly in my gut and intuition that it was ok and that there was something there. Things kept surfacing in my gut and it's no surprise! Maybe the Caring Legend of Hissy is alive and well in the Northwest!

Well it wasn't a delivery. Here, even in this podunk town, deliveries are done with vans not wheelbarrows. The pastries were given to the garbage grinder last night when Mike returned home saw all the evidence and heard the story of where they came from. Anyone who knows us, knows how many people live here. Two people do not need 25 pastries, especially when one is diabetic!

I am tempted to call the paper and ask them if they want to write a story about the donut caper, the one that really takes the cake. Maybe then, I will find out who my donuter is- until then, it remains a not so sweet mystery.

Ooh good idea, call the paper. This is just the kind of strange story they'd lap up! Maybe then you'd find something out about this guy.
I'd have ground up the donuts too - eww fruit cake donuts.

Why don`t you just do that Hissy????
Like they say on Unsolved Mysteries "someone out there knows something that could solve this mystery!"
At least if you got an answer you`d know whether to be freaked out or not.
Linda
PS It`s just as well you did`nt bring them onto the forum to share with us...I`m a diabetic too....and I`d have just been tempted!

What a strange story for sure. I on the other hand would have had the door open and greeting him before he even got around to knocking so I would know if he was "slow" or what other reason he would have being there.

I guess we must just be a trusting lot.

I will certainly look forward to finding out about your donuts though - very odd!

Under the cats, mostly.
I think it's a nice thing that he left you so many donuts!!
I'd ask hubby first though, just to make sure he's not in on some big joke

Ok the mystery is solved, but really it just gets stranger. After a phone call was received, seems a man that Mike met less than 48 hours ago- the man was walking his dog up the road and he stopped to talk to Mike briefly (under ten minutes)- came back the next day to leave us these pastries.

Ok then-

Ok then-
You mean that Mike met him just 2 days ago...for the first time...only spoke with him for 10 minutes...and then this guy brought all those donuts?
So ...what does Mike say about the way this guy "seemed" to him?
(Seriously though, Hissy....do ya think it might be time to get back on the tram???)

Yep Linda, that is what I meant. Mike talked to him outside in the front yard for a brief 10 minutes, the guy left and the next day came over with a wheelbarrow full of pastries.
I do live in the Twilight Zone

You never have a dull moment, do you?
Obviously Mike made a very positive impression on this man.
