Hi, I'm new and desperate. I have two Chinchilla Persians, 5 years old. Within the last 3 months they have both spent 5 days in hospital with really bad diahorreah. So bad that I nearly lost them. Both have always had sensitive systems and I now have to keep them on cortizone medication and a special diet. What on earth is wrong with them? Is it in the pedigree? My vet is being very non commital and I am getting awfully anxious.
Please help.

Hi and welcome to TCS!

It sounds like you really need to get a second opinion from another vet. Maybe there is a vet in your area that specializes in cats. If you feel like your vet isn't giving you answers, it's time to try another. Good Luck!

The only one that can tell you what is wrong is another vet or a feline specialist. You can always just ask your vet some questions- write them down first, and make an appointment and go in and just talk to him or her. But you also have the option of asking for a referral to a specialist
