It's possible she decided to abandon him, as he was so weak and very likely couldn't feed from her. I asked the lady to have a good look around for Mumcat and other kittens but she didn't find anyone else.

Melsa, it's just me. I do get very tired, especially when I have a large litter but they're so worth it.
How is Tom this morning......???

I'm so glad he's eating on his own. 3 cc's is a good feeding for someone that little! It may be that he was just the smallest of his litter and he's actually perfectly healthy - I have had that happen before.

Tom has been well overnight. He now weighs 84 grams, which is a bit less than I'd like but is a gain nonetheless. He's getting stronger too, he can turn almost onto his back and claws at his bottle if the flow isn't right! His paws are definitely less swollen and almost back to normal. I'm wondering if they were actually swollen because of ant bites. He's trying to purr, it sounds a bit like putt.......putt.......putt. The only time he mews is when I'm stimulating his bottom. He kicks out and really hates it!

Thanks for the update on little Tom. He looks like he`s really going to be a "looker". I love the white marking on his hind leg and the white tufts in his ears. I`m still praying for him!
