I've looked and there are only 2 that are in our county that are actually close to us. It will cost 130 to get our male fixed. And probably 300, maybe less to get our female fixed.
Wow..that seems steep. Call this number and see if they can get you a discounted certificate:Originally Posted by olskoolnodoubtr

They can give her oxytocin to help her contractions get stronger...I know I feel the same way about vets, unfortunately a lot of them are in only for the money. I could not find a vet to work with me on payments either, but I ended up not needing a c section for my girl the kitten finally came out after she was at the vets and they gave her some oxytocin and an x-ray. That costed me $400.00Originally Posted by olskoolnodoubtr
She sleeps normally and visits us throughout the day. She seems fine to me. She isn't straining or trying to push at all. As far as I know she hasn't started at all. The fluids scare me to no end. The vet exam we can afford. It's only 36. If she needs a c section or inducing (if they can even do that with cats), I have no idea how much that would be.And there's no way we can afford a c section. It amazes me that no vet is willing to work with us. It hurts to know they would rather let a cat die, rather than working with the owner on finances. And her thrid eye lid isn't showing. I myself am pregnant so it makes me wory about her even more lol.
Yeah I know. The exam would only tell us what's going on though. It wouldn't help us with whatever she may need. Which I know may make no sense. BUT we can't afford 400 and no vet wants to work with us.Originally Posted by sweetiecat3
Umm I would just like to put in my tiny 2 cents and say: VET. SOON.
Have you verified that it would cost $400? I thought you were going to take her in if she didn't have her kittens soon.Originally Posted by olskoolnodoubtr

I would be more inclined to have that be answered by a vet..because there could be a medical reason instead of a behavioral reason. I would honestly take her in as soon as you can.Originally Posted by olskoolnodoubtr
None of the vets are open right now. I did call an er vet though and they told me the same thing and that it could last up to a week. She has meowed at me a few times today. I caught her peeing in her box though on her blanket I JUST got done washing for her. Is she marking it as hers?
Well....would you use a toilet with "stuff" in it?? Please clean out the litterbox...your poor girl has gone through enough and the litterbox should be cleaned at least once if not twice a day.Originally Posted by olskoolnodoubtr
I'm guessing she did it because my husband hasn't cleaned the litter box in days.
Not to get off topic but I cleaned 2 litter pans while I was pregnant with 4 adult cats -- no problems. Wear rubber gloves if you are concerned.Originally Posted by olskoolnodoubtr
If I could clean it myself, I would. But I can't because I'm pregnant. I've told him the same thing about using a full potty.
