For the Members

As I sit here at the computer with contented kitties all around me, I think back on the year here at TCS. I see such tremendous growth in so many members. Some who came here knowing very little of what to do with their cat, are now some of who are instructing others how to care for their felines.

I watched Anne merge away from the board with great sadness. I miss her constant presence here, but thankfully, we still are in touch and she does miss her interaction on the board as well. But with two boys now growing up her duties lie elsewhere for awhile.

We have had members leave, and new ones come in their stead. We have a great community here of people who care for each other, who accept strangers without question, no matter how odd their post might be. Because, if there is a cat in trouble, this is a place to seek out support and advice while waiting for the tests to come in from the vet.

We are looking forward to 2006 with anticipation. We have some new things planned and hope to make this community better, and stronger. Thank you all for the part you have played here. For not offering "miracles in a can" but instead offering yourself to each and every person that touches you enough to make you respond to their post.

Thanks for hanging in there with us, weathering the bad times and celebrating the good. It means a great deal to both Anne and myself-

Thank you Hissy for creating and maintaining this wonderful site. There truely is a sense of community here and I'm so glad I found this site and got to "meet" all these lovely people!

Thank you, Mary Anne and Anne, for TCS, which seems very much like a second "home". It's a source of invaluable advice about cats, besides being a refuge where we can talk about our cats all we like, without having to worry about boring family, friends, and coworkers with our cat stories.

Thank you Mary Anne and everybody else, I wouldn't be the meowmy I am today if it weren't for ya'll! Especially in the last 2 months, I wouldn't know how to deal with what has been happening with Mittens. You have given me the help and support that I have needed even at 3am! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

You know that was a very touching and beautiful thing to say! There are so many people here who have been a constant support for me, knowing the pain I feel every day. I could never thank them enough.

This place would not run, nor hold together if not for the following people- Deb and Ryan as Admins- and all the mods that give so much to ensure that the board runs smoothly-

Sandie-Ken-Heidi-Gaye-Renae-Cindy-Fran-Trish-Steph-Susan-Sandra-Linda and Christy- phew! I think I remembered them all-

Sierra, Serenity, and I agree, this is most definitely our second home! What would we do without you guys!

That's so sweet, hissy. Thank YOU, too, and all the people who make this forum possible. I have spent more time on this site in the last three weeks or so than ever before and it has been absolutely wonderful.
There is something incredibly special and unique about an online community where every single person adores cats. I am honored and thrilled to be a part of this forum!

I just want to chime in and say a big "Thank you" to all of you who make this site what it is....a WONDERFUL PLACE to be!

Thankyou MA! I only registered here in august or something and never really looked at the site until about september but since that fateful saturday afternoon I've been hooked. I have withdrawal symptoms if I dont look for too long.
I have learnt so much from here I cant even tell you. Its so amazing to know that you have somewhere to go about the little things that concern you, and the things that are nothing to do with your kitters but you feel you need to get off your chest! I feel like Im making some good friends here and we all have at least one thing in common. Our love for our little furry babies.

Thank you Hissy and all the mods, for all the great work you do on this Web site. I grew up with animals but have learned so much more about my kitties after joining these forums! For one thing, learning that my Kuri sucks his tail just like a baby sucks his thumb, as a comfort mechanism, was something I never would have put together six months ago. These discussion threads have really increased my insight into my cats' behavior, but also allowed me to openly grieve for my Sumo who passed over the bridge this past August, among others who truly understand what it's like to love and be loved by an animal, and who care. Thank you so much for your dedication. I really appreciate TCS and all those who keep it running! I also appreciate the kind and caring folks who post here (it really is amazingly different from all other forums I've ever seen)!

I enjoy being on TCS too.

I can honestly say that this site, and everyone here, helped me deal with one of the most difficult times in my life. I was so lost after losing Sunni, and it seemed that no one understood. Here I found people who not only understood, but supported me through my grief and healing.

This is the closest-knit group of people on a forum that I have ever met. Thank you, hissy, mods and members for making The Cat Site the best place to find information, support and companionship concerning those most important furry little parts of our lives.

You guys too can help the site stay strong - you can buy a membership along with its few perks. I did - and I never give to a forum I could already get for free. This one is different - it is community and family. That is worth helping to keep around for all of us.
