its only been less than a month that I have had her but I am absolutely in love with this cat. Now I know why people consider a pet part of the family. Her personality and mine are perfect for each other and I really look forward to our together time. She seems so attuned to my mood and me to hers. I wonder if it sounds pathetic but I haven't been this much in love since I first married. ( apologies to my wonderful husband. )

How much can you love a cat? Oh, my goodness... Quite a lot!
I have had cats all my adult life. They have always given me far more than I've ever given them!
I, for one, am incredibly attached to my cats. They really are part of the family.
Go ahead, don't be embarrassed-- bonding and falling in love with an animal truly is one of those experiences that makes life worth living.

Goodness me I wouldn't know the answer to that question. A LOT????? Lol...

It's a bit embarrassing how much I love my cats (and dogs...lol) but I don't care, they're our babies!

I believe caring for animals not only enriches your life, but also your soul.

I totally agree with that!

I am so much happier since we've gotten Harley! Coming home every day to that precious little guy makes everyday brighter!

After never having cats before, my hubby and I have adopted two this year and OMG, how we love them! (He had cats and dogs as a kid, but it's all new to me.) Now that we have them I can't imagine life without them!

Welcome!

So much that you cry every day for them when they die - and for your Poodle too!

So much you keep the one(s) who are picking on the other(s) because you cannot live without them!

Oh, I agree with everything everyone has said so far in this thread. It's insane how much I love Safari. I love Petoskey too! But I have an incredible bond with my Safari. I think about him and miss him when I'm not home and I look forward to every minute I spend with him. He is immeasurably precious to me. So I completely and totally know what you mean, and there is nothing wrong with being in love with your kitty!

Agreed! Agreed! Agreed!

I grew up with dogs… had always been a dog lover. I had always thought cats were BEAUTIFUL but just too unaffectionate and indifferent.

This summer my mom got a kitten. I went to visit her one day to meet the little one (Muffin) and in a matter of seconds I knew all I had ever thought of cats was wrong. Muffin was so playful and SO affectionate.

The next weekend I adopted my two babies! I canâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t even express how WRONG I had been. These little guys make me so incredibly happy! Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve got pictures of them all over my desk at the office and my friends have actually started to complain about how much I talk about them everyday (which is why this site is GREAT for me).

I love them as children and look forward to spending everyday with them!

So to answer you question, how much can you love a cat? INFINITELY!!!!

I also agree with everything everybody has said here - maybe more than you'll ever know, or love them as if they were your own human children! I know I consider my 4 babies to be my children, and I grew up with a beautiful kitty named Peter, he was like my brother! so yeah, maybe as much as you can love a human person, and then some!

Welcome To The Boards too!

I like Heidi's way of expressing it. I often, when cuddling with Cindy, say to her, "I know you know you are loved. Have you any idea how much?" and most times I can't get those words out without tearing up.
That's not to say I don't love her sisters just as much -- but she's the one I can get that kind of mushy with.

Ohhhh... I think for a person who likes cats ... their love for them is endless.

They are like my girls... I dont think there is anything I wont do for them.
And the bad part about that.... they know it.....
