Silly question regarding cat ID tags...

I want to order a ID tag for my pet. Any preferences out there on what kind? I think they sell ones made of plastic, brass, stainless steel, etc. There are reflective ones, ones with notification alerts, etc. Too many choices! Thanks!

It's all pretty much personal preference... I always go with laser engraved stainless steel and and seriously considering having the cat microchipped as well (just gotta get the time and money, hehe), even though he's indoor only, the microchip would be the best bet if he were to ever get out... when I order my dog's new tag this summer I got it from http://www.laserdogtags.com/ as suggested by people on this site... I know a lot of people here have gotten tags from them and everyone's more than satisfied with their work!

If you get your cat chipped, put something on the tag to indicate that, so they'll be sure to scan.

i got a soft collar that breaks away if caught. It has her name and my phone number embroidered on it. It took about a week to get it from PetSmart. she doesn't mind it at all.
