Iams has a multi cat food that is supposed to make the chubby kitties svelte and the svelte kitties more muscular, all in one food....what do we think of that???

i dunno....sounds too good to be true - sort of 'all things to all cats'?

I bought some- I can't resist any coupon. I just started mixing it in- so far they aren't crazy about it, but they'll eat just about anything. It's a very small kibble- sorta like eukunuba or science diet, and very light brown. Don't have the ingredients.. I don't know if I'll continue to feed it or not. I have one guy who's on the chubby side of normal, and one that is ideal.. Why this food would be better for them compared to normal food I don't know. I suppose it would be good if you had one cat that should be on a diet and the other doesn't have to be, and you have a problem seperating the food...
Right now my problem is that the kittens won't touch the kitten food anymore, prefering to eat the grownup food.

I think it sounds too good to be true too. You have to calculate everything out regardless of what you feed, how active or lazy your house cats are, how many calories per cup of food, the fact that nearly every dry food has enough carbohydrates to put weight on a cat.

John was really put off by this food....He couldnt figure it out...and to tell you the truth either could I......Iams makes my kits projectile vomit anyways so won't be bringing this into our house...

I aire on the side of caution w/ this.......

I tried the new multicat Iams. I have 5 cats. Taboo=16, Rufas=16, Molly=7, Gohan=11/2, and Kagome=1 1/3. Molly is very overwieght and Taboo is underwieght. I thought this was a good idea for a family of cats who have always eaten Iams. Two cats stopped eating and one began vomiting. So, I would advise caution with this new food.
